Glenn Beck blows a gasket

Thanks to commenter Onidinita for bringing this to my attention. Glenn Beck drops an intellectual deuce on the air in response to a caller supporting health care reform.

Listen to the whole thing to get the context or just skip to 3:10 for the hilarity. Sphere: Related Content

From now one, when someone calls me on the phone and I don't want to talk to them, I'm just going to play back a recording of this. In fact, I might make this my voicemail.

Amen Glenn, Amen. Why do I get the impression that no one posting anti-Glenn comments has ever watched/listened to his shows. The over reaction of emotion is part of his rhetoric. He does it on purpose, it makes him who he is. Listen to the actual comments made, you may understand a little bit better why he has such high ratings. Look at cause and effect people. Public healthcare does not work. Why do you think so many people died in France a few years back because of a stupid heatwave? THEY HAVE SHITTY HEALTHCARE!!!!!!!!!! If you are concerned about everyone having healthcare here then do what I do, DONATE TIME AND/OR MONEY TO PRIVATE ORGANIZATIONS THAT PROVIDE HEALTHCARE TO THOSE IN NEED! And no, I'm not wealthy and I don't really have a whole lot of free time, but I still figure out ways to help. It is against the US constitution for the government to be this involved in the lives and wallets of the American people.

I am not going to waste my time watching or listening to Beck's show if he can't even make sense in a 5 minute interview...

Here's another gem:
http://mediamatters.org/mmtv/200907280008

Beck said that Obama has "a deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture." Then when he was reminded that most of the people who work for Obama are white, he says, "I'm not saying he doesn't like white people. He has a problem. This guy is, I believe, a racist." He totally contradicted himself in the same interview!!

Beck is either crazy or an idiot and I question the judgement, sanity and intellect of anyone that defends him...

Dana...just bc it happened a couple of weeks ago, doesn't mean it stops being funny!

Kelly...

1) Glenn Beck has high ratings bc there are a lot of dumb people out there and also smarter people that are curious also watch/listen. Here are some Glenn Beck fans for you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUPMjC9mq5Y

2)Public healthcare does work. How many people do you personally know that are from countries where they have public healthcare? If you know any, what do they say about it? My husband is from Norway, where they have public healthcare and my father's whole family lives in Spain, where they also have public healthcare and all of my husband's family. my family, and their friends LOVE it! They don't understand what is wrong with the Americans that are fighting against public healthcare. The people that died a few years ago during the heatwave, died bc France & Spain usually have very mild temperatures in the summer. They are not prepared for extreme temperatures, therefore, most houses and hospitals don't have great air conditioning. It's as simple as that!

2) Do you have health insurance and if so, do you pay out of pocket? It's very nice of you to donate your time/money, but the "needy" are already being taken care of by government programs like Medicaid. The ones that are being left uninsured or underinsured are the hard-working, middle class people whose employers don't provide health insurance bc it's too expensive and they can't afford to buy it on their own. The percentage of employers that DO NOT provide health insurance has gone from under 10% in the early 80's to over 40%. So only 60% provide some coverage (btw, this percentage includes those that only provide partial coverage, so the percentage of employers that provide full health benefits is way lower) And sadly, the percentage of employers that don't provide health care just keep growing every year bc healthcare costs outpace inflation. The latest studies show that about 19% of employers that do provide healthcare are probably going to drop it in the next year. So the percentage of employers that don't provide any kind of health benefits will be over 50%.

3) If you think (or Beck told you) that "It is against the US constitution for the government to be this involved in the lives and wallets of the American people", do you think Medicare, Social Security, public schools, public universities, taxes, requiring drivers to get car insurance, etc ...Are all these unconstitutional? And since you want minimal government interference in people's lives, are you pro-gay rights/marriage, the legalization of marijuana and all other drugs? THOSE are real government intrusions in people's personal lives. Making sure that all citizens have access to adequate healthcare is NOT an intrusion and it's most definitely not unconstitutional!!!!!

I noticed that ever since Beck moved from CNN to Fox, he has stopped wearing pink and him and Stu don't really banter about him being an effeminate ass hat anymore... All the more reason to believe he's blowin' trannys in gas station bathrooms

I love it when conservatives try to say they're libertarians. Reminds me of that article you posted on FB, E...And you may be right about Dana...Unless you're in favor of gay rights/marriage, legalization of all drugs, etc, you can't call yourself a Libertarian and if you're in favor of those, you can't be a practicing Mormon...
