Gaggers, Screamers, and Bill Maher Nails It

It's official. I christen the anti-health care crowd "Gaggers" for the following reasons:

They are purposefully putting a "gag" into the mouth of their opponents, who happen to be those of us (read: majority) who are 100% in favor of reforming our current health care system in a way that... yes... injects a substantial amount of socialism into the entire construct. Their marching order are to sit up front at town hall meetings and shout down any pro-reform comments while trying to appear to be an "Everyman;" someone who could easily be anyone's neighbor, if everyone happened to live next door to this guy.

Furthermore, every time I see footage of these sign-bearing cousin-fuckers on the news, I re-experience whatever it was that I ate within the past 18 hours in the form of a barely truncated gag reflex that produces a pungent, bile-flavored oily residue in the back of my throat. I am not entirely sure if it's due to the blatant misinformation that is confidently espoused as fact that kicks in an innate desire to shed ignorance like a snake molts it's dry, ill-fitting, bacteria-infested skin, or if it's just the thought of how those gaping maws full of polydent and rancid haluski must smell after yelling at a congressman for an hour or so. Hell, my breath smells like horse taint after calmly delivering a Powerpoint presentation on production trends. That shit has to smell like a bagful of abortions left out in the sun.

I also find myself wondering if their eyes tear up and streak their mascara when the right wing radio retards cram bullshit down their throats for hours at a time like a drawn-out filming session on the set of Cock-Gobblers Revenge. I mean really, does Sean Hannity make you keep your bifocals on while you chicken head his prick for three hours a day? Does he say "Oh yeah, grampa, do it like a 'Great Amurkin'?"

That last part is really the main thrust behind the nomenclature. Seeing as how they just didn't "get" the whole "teabagging" thing, I figured I could slip in a term with a more blatant and expressive homo-erotic connotation... that they still won't get. I mean, afterall, they have described themselves as teabaggers and screamers, all the while forming groups, of their own volition, like 2m4m.

I love it, really. Issue after issue sends the right deeper into the rabbit hole of homosexual innuendo. I can't wait to see what they come up with to fight gay marriage once this whole insurance thing blows over. I mean, where do you go from here? Do the flannel farmers just start fucking each other on the court house steps? I would hope they'd be more clever than that, but I have my doubts.

Anyway, I got off track there. The underlying theme of this whole idea is that there are a lot of stupid people out there. And stupidity is like alcoholism; you have to admit the problem before you can fix the problem. And that's why I end this post with a link to Bill Maher's latest blog post in which he cleverly and astutely says "yes I fucking said it." We are becoming a nation of idiots. You can blame the schools or pollution or fast food or TV or the internet or whatever. Whatever it is, it needs fixed. No snarky comment, no pun or double entendre... just don't be stupid. Think about things objectively for a moment before you shit your pants and scream. Think not just about whether or not the data is accurate, but whether or not it makes any sense the way it's presented.

Obama is swirling around the drain for his leadership on the health care issue, with falling personal polls, and angry town-hall meetings plastered all over YouTube. Obama stayed too long at the hot slot machine. All the Dems in Washington did. Your guys over-interpreted the meaning of the 2008 election, and didn’t fully take into account how economic crisis changed the national mood. People are as mad as hell and they are not going to take it anymore!

Congressmen who’ve faced lamb bastings back home are fucking shocked and it’s the first thing you see in the videos. They had no idea how people were feeling and apparently neither do you denialtards. The Dem 2008 win left them thinking an election that had been shaped by anti-Bush, anti-Republican, and pro-change feeling was really a mandate without context or limits; they thought that in the middle of a historic recession featuring horrific deficits, they could assume support for the invention of a huge new entitlement carrying huge new costs. What the protesters are saying is, “You are scaring the shit out of us.” If you had a brain in your head, you too would be scared.

It’s kind of weird to watch you drones talk about Astroturf when you can see these people in the videos are fucking pissed…the kind of pissed you only see when it’s genuine. These are real grass roots and they are on fire. Your denial does not change the polls that tell you America does not want this. And the only thing that Bill Maher ever nailed was his boyfriends ass.

Ellipses said...

I don't see them as "fucking pissed," I see them as "fucking retarded."

I think the problem is the anti-healthcare crowd don't have the slightest hint of an idea what the reform is about. They think they do because they take their cues from the right wing propaganda machine, but unfortunately they have misplaced their trust in a group who disguise their own personal goals as the well being of the nation.

Ellipses said...

Yeah, they may be legitimately pissed... But it's over things like putting grandma to sleep or the government remotely draining your bank account... ie, shit that's not real

Wesley said...

Elliptidufus, an angry patient that tells the doctor he is fucking retarded because the doctor tells him he is going to die from cancer does not change the fact that the patient is going to die from cancer. You may deny it until your face turns blue (it’s probably already blue if you have not removed all those dicks from your mouth yet) but the fact is the anger is bona fide and festering.

You posers and your man BO’s biggest obstacle is that 68% of American voters have health-insurance coverage they rate good or excellent. That number comes from Rasmussen likely voter polling conducted last weekend. Most of these voters are coming to the health insurance reform debate fearing they have more to lose than to gain.

Cylentard, this is not about an “anti-healthcare crowd” and you need to look in the mirror to find someone who has “misplaced their trust in a group who disguise their own personal goals.” There is warranted anxiety that BO’s federal expansion is politically-driven in rather radical ways to create a permanent new constituency of millions who either receive expanded federal largess or who are orgasmically engaged in doling it out. The people who show up at the town meetings have read the bill and know what’s in it: something their ass socket representative or your ADD asses cannot claim. If you had read it, you could not be so glib about putting grandma to sleep. If either of my grandma’s want a treatment that will prolong their lives even a few more moments, I don’t want some government fuck telling me she is too old for the expense.

These citizens at the town meetings are not quoting fabricated propaganda. They have real questions based on what they have read in the bill. It’s such delicious irony that the community organizer is having to combat an organized community. This was BO’s specialty of stirring up a community, rabblerousing and creating a scene, to force change. The community organizer cannot whine now when the community gets organized.

These people are angry because they have a growing sense of “we’ve been had” in a bait-and-switch. BO is not the unifier he said he was. He is the first president in history to call out union thugs to silence and intimidate old people at town meetings. As he said, “if they bring a knife, we bring a gun.” How embarrassing. This is the president of the United States.

As more and more voters learn what’s in the bill, they dread turning their hard-won and paid-for private health care plans into something like the emergency room on Saturday night, where the quality of care is reflected in the chaos. They don’t want health care that looks like the DMV. And it is not just the waste, inefficiency, and lack of accountability inherent in government-run enterprises that bother the growing mass of angry voters. Voters are beginning to sense a certain edge to the Obama revolution, a meanness in its class-driven rhetoric aimed at the more successful. One of the worst flaws of this bunch is the notion that they wish to curtail in others the very things they wish to enjoy without constraint for themselves.

You brought up a good point... read the bill. Here, I'll help you out:

http://frwebgate.access.gpo.gov/cgi-bin/getdoc.cgi?dbname=111_cong_bills&docid=f:h3200ih.txt.pdf

Why don't you print out that email that says page by page all the evil stuff that's in there... and go to that page in the ACTUAL bill and see that the email that claims grandma is going to be put to sleep is about 1500 words worth of bullshit.

Wesley said...

Epilepsies…no need to print out any emails or dissect any gnat shit. You and I know what the bill says and the citizens that ask “what does it mean when it says after age 65 you will get end-of-life counseling every five years?”; they also know what it says. Aside from the real or imagined “Logan’s Run” fears, what many of these voters find obnoxious is that discussions that were formally between themselves, their families and their doctors, are now being choreographed by an outside party sphinctercrat in Washington DC. Who the hell asked them anyways??? At a minimum, it’s a creepy invasion of privacy. And do we really want health treatment decisions based on “bringing down the cost of medical care?”

If bills making massive changes in medical care, that neither the public nor the Congress can be bothered to read, much less analyze, then don’t be surprised when life and death decisions about you or your family are taken out of your hands-- and out of the hands of your doctor-- and transferred to fucking bureaucrats in Washington.

And if this new health insurance scam is so wonderful, why can't it stand a little discussion at a town hall meeting and why can’t we have a little time to think about it? Obviously, it’s because these far left douchebags driving right now, don’t want us to know what its all about or because they know if we did, no one in their right mind would go along with it except for you slobbering BO drones who are whistling past the graveyard.

BO keeps running this same play because like Rahm Emanuel said, “never let a good crisis go to waste.” If you can synthesize some chaos and crisis, that’s just as good. We are told that we can't wait, and things are just too urgent. It worked to warp drive the "stimulus" package through Congress, even though if you’ve checked the scoreboard lately, the stimulus package is getting it’s ass kicked.

People are just not getting fooled this time with the same bullshit. Any serious discussion of government-run health care would have to look at other countries where there is government-run health care. You useful idiots that continue to drink the liberal Kool-Aid can’t seem to realize that this insurance scheme has nothing to do with health care and everything to do with control and power. Many have figured this out and that’s why the tide is rising against this shit cake legislation.

You need to understand that it is not just a question of whether government technofucks will agree to pay for particular medical treatments. The same government-control mindset that decides what should and should not be paid for can also decide that the medical technology or pharmaceutical drugs that they control should not be for sale to those who are willing to pay their own money. They do now. Right now, medications or treatments that have not been approved by the FDA are medications or treatments that you are not allowed to buy with your own money, no matter how desperate your medical condition, and no matter how many years these medications or treatments may have been used without dire effects in other countries.

Ellipses said...

“what does it mean when it says after age 65 you will get end-of-life counseling every five years?”

They obviously don't know what it says if they have to ask.

"what many of these voters find obnoxious is that discussions that were formally between themselves, their families and their doctors"

You left out the chick making 9 bucks an hour at the insurance company's call center.

"why can't it stand a little discussion at a town hall meeting"

Because a bunch of retards would rather flail their arms and scream...

"the stimulus package is getting it’s ass kicked. "

By what quantitative measure do you determine that?

"Any serious discussion of government-run health care would have to look at other countries where there is government-run health care."

Agreed. I have suggested in the past that we take the easy road and just pick a country with a better, cheaper health care system and just copy it.

"Right now, medications or treatments that have not been approved by the FDA are medications or treatments that you are not allowed to buy with your own money, no matter how desperate your medical condition, and no matter how many years these medications or treatments may have been used without dire effects in other countries."

And that's going to change? Personally, I'd rather have the same fucked up regulations but pay as much as the average Swede or Franc or Fin...

Elliptopotamus…the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported last week that in the month of July, the U.S. unemployment rate dropped from 9.5 to 9.4 percent despite the economy shedding 247,000 jobs. This seems to be good news, however, the decline results entirely from the fact that 422,000 people left the labor force. As a result, the labor force participation rate fell to 66.5, which equals the lowest recorded number for the current recession. The civilian employment to population ratio continued to decline as people left the labor market. It fell to 59.5, the lowest level in 25 years.

For the BO administra¬tion to claim credit for creating and saving jobs, the labor market should have already started to show signs of real improvement. But, since BO signed the stimulus bill, job creation has hit new lows and the total number of hours that employees work has continued to fall. The data do not support the claim that the stimulus has "created or saved" jobs.

Since BO signed the stimulus bill into law in February, the job creation rate has decreased. In February 18.9 percent of the unem¬ployed workers found jobs and 3.2 percent of all workers started at a new job. By May 2009, the new-hire rate had fallen to 3.0 percent--the lowest level recorded since the BLS began the JOLTS sur¬vey in 2000. In June 2009, the job-finding rate for the unemployed stood at 18.4 percent. The stimu¬lus bill simply has not promoted job creation.

The first 12 months of the US recession saw the economy shrink more than twice as much as previously estimated, reflecting even bigger declines in consumer spending and housing, revised figures showed. The world’s largest economy contracted 1.9 percent from the fourth quarter of 2007 to the last three months of 2008. The director of the Commerce Department’s Bureau of Economic Analysis said the current downturn beginning in 2008 is more pronounced. This economy has shrunk twice as much as it did with W in the trailing end of 2008, and this is a great example of what state-controlled media does. I just gave you the facts. I just told you the truth. Here is, from state-controlled Reuters: "US Economy Fares Better Than Expected In Latest Quarter."

We heard last week from Deutsche Bank that the percentage of US homeowners who owe more than their house is worth will nearly double to 48% in 2011 from 26% at the end of March, giving another kick in the nuts to the housing market.

Why would TIME Magazine run this story: "Obama's Stimulus Plan Failing by its Own Measure?" The lead to the story is: "The $787 billion stimulus plan is turning out to be far less stimulating than its architects expected."

I could go on, but even a mind-numbed Obama drone like you has to see that by any honest assessment the ShitStickulus Package is a fucking failure.

Wesley said...

Elliptinutless…you radical lefties can never hide the fact that you are dripping with contempt for the public. You and your media butt-buddies have no clue what the public is feeling. You can smear them, you can degrade them, but these people still have the power to throw out of office, the shit-eating weasels that won’t answer their questions at these town meetings. And that’s exactly what is going to happen when the smoke clears from this shit-storm.

Far more people like their health care in this country than you do. When the left organizes, whether it be the public sector unions, the AFL-CIO, ACORN, the rest, they're all encouraged, they're admired, they're even funded by the taxpayers. When hardworking people, for the first time in many cases, become involved and active, they are denounced. Let me tell you something. Democracy doesn't belong only to the leftist agitators. It also belongs to the people who pay the bills and make this country work. There is something boiling over out there now.

Obama's own aggressiveness has resulted in a reaction. The American people know full well now what this health care plan's all about and so much else of his agenda, and the numbers of people who are now informed is viral and they want no part of it.

If the political hacks at these town meetings don’t like the hand flailing and the screaming then they need to stop with the visible contempt and how-dare-you-fucking-ask-me-a-question attitude. They are shocked and not prepared for the crowd’s mood and as a result their true colors bleed out in their reactions and those true colors are dripping with condescension. Just like you, they think these people are too fucking stupid to know what’s good for them and are getting hysterical over unfounded fears. While the truth is they know what doors are left open in the slippery slopes of the wording in this bill. They know the contempt and arrogance of the current ruling crowd. They know that while people like you make light of putting Grandma to sleep, while they see no humor in it. They know that this is like you telling your friend you won’t cum in their mouth.

Cylinsier said...

I'm not sure why you're wasting your time with this asshole, e. He's probably a health care lobbyist hired to go around on random blogs like ours and keep feeding bullshit rhetoric to anyone who will listen. He's not going to read the bill, he's not going to listen to facts, and he's not interested in having a debate about it.

Ellipses said...

He IS fun, though...

and he keeps making my point... that the flailing gaggers are in a tizzy over stuff that doesn't exist.

Their outrage may be genuine... but the reason they are outraged is made up.

I will make light of killing grandma... because no one is going to kill grandma... and the slippery slope is a myth.

Wesley said...

Ellitipeewee Herman..."I know you are but what am I?" is that supposed to be your argument?

Cylentard...change the subject and attack again. Stick to the issues...concentrate. Do you actually think for one minute that lobbyists care what the fuck you two posers are saying?

This not about one issue. I was worried about running down this shit hole with you guys. Euthanizing old dudes is only one reason people are in an uproar. Personally, I never thought it meant that but I have to respect these peoples fears when you look at the lies coming our of this administration.

When Obama says you can keep your health care he leaves off the part about the minute you leave your job you have to go with the public option. He has openly said that he favors a single payer option and admits it will take 15 or 20 years to get there. He is eliminbating the private insurance part of this so everyone except hi m ofcourse can enjoy the same shitty care that all government run health care offers. And it ALWAYS leads to rationing. ALWAYS period dot.

Eliptidookie...all those socilaists in Sweden, Finland and France have a tax burden that is off the charts. Canadians come to the US rather than wait 8 months for a colonoscopy when the doctor is worried they might have colon cancer.

We do not have a crisis in medical care. Our medical care is the envy of the world. You are just useful idiots spouting the closed loop sewage that you get from your liberal programmers. You actually believe that government run health care will be better than what we have now.

It is you who need to look at the facts. You apparently want Socialism in spite of the lessons of history. This is like a battle of wits with unarmed retards.

Cylinsier said...

Like I said, a waste of time. His entire argument is based on incorrect information. You might as well be arguing about universal health care in Narnia based on the amount of fact behind what he's saying. And really, there's no reason to keep inciting him because the reform is going to get passed one way or the other. It will be much more satisfying to point at him and laugh in a couple years when we have the system in place and its working.

Ellipses said...

Hopefully that system in place is more like the single-payer system that Wes fears...

Oh, and regarding the unemployment data... My FIRST impression of that data was that a whole mess of people left the work force. So, again, we agree.

Luckily, there is still 85% of the 787 billion left to release into the economy.

LittleJ said...

So, what I don't understand about the town hall screamers is this: if they don't want health care reform, what do they want?

The cost of health care is going up at something like three times the rate of inflation. That is unsustainable and will harm all of us. If the screamers don't think the current health care reform bills (and there are 4, I believe) address this in the right way, what would they propose instead?

Perhaps if the screamers would advocate for alternatives to their Congressmen, rather than just screaming "Socialist/Death Panel/Birth Certificate/Aaaargh", they could actually steer health care reform more in the direction they want.

Ellipses said...

You expect reasonable discourse from a group of people who think the evil black man is going to put them to sleep?

That's like giving an etch a sketch to a parkinson's patient... Pointless.

I'm sorry... that was too bad to not apologize, but too good not to print.

wesley said...

Cylenschmuck…Cold hard facts: Page 29. The bill admits on page 29 that your health care will be rationed. Page 30: A government committee will decide what treatments and benefits you get. Page 58: Every person will be issued a national ID health card. Page 59: The federal government will have direct real-time access to all individual bank accounts for electronic funds transfer. Page 239: The bill will reduce physician services for Medicaid, meaning there will be Medicaid cuts. Page 427: Government mandates program that orders end-of-life treatment. Government dictates how your life ends. The Washington Post read the section, Section 1233 and came to the same disturbing conclusion:

“Ideally, the delicate decisions about how to manage life's end would be made in a setting that is neutral in both appearance and fact. Yes, it's good to have a doctor's perspective. But Section 1233 goes beyond facilitating doctor input to preferring it. Indeed, the measure would have an interested party -- the government -- recruit doctors to sell the elderly on living wills, hospice care and their associated providers, professions and organizations. You don't have to be a right-wing wacko to question that approach.”

Page 429: Advanced care planning consult will be used to dictate treatment as patients' health deteriorates. This can include an order for end-of-life plans. The order will be from the government.

Cylinsier said...

Getting tired? At least come up with stuff that isn't quoted directly from that chain email going around to everyone. Just for kicks, I went and read page 29. You know, to see how full of shit you are.

(2) ANNUAL LIMITATION.—
4 (A) ANNUAL LIMITATION.—The cost-shar5

9 (B) APPLICABLE LEVEL.—The applicable

16 applicable to such year.
17 (C) USE OF COPAYMENTS.—In establishing
18 cost-sharing levels for basic, enhanced, and pre19
mium plans under this subsection, the Sec20
retary shall, to the maximum extent possible,
21 use only copayments and not coinsurance.

Forgive the numbers, the lines were numbered. So basically, what we have here is that the amount that you are covered for in a year is limited by person...which is exactly the same as it is now for every private insurer in the country. Once you go over that limit, you pay out of pocket...again, just like every private insurer in the country. So what's the problem? Oh wait, there isn't one. Glad we cleared that up.

I didn't bother to look up your other page numbers because your track record so far indicates there would be no reason for me to put the effort in.
